The web hosting provider offers solid plans with a good selection of features. The one area we're concerned about is how they present their offers. Like many hosting providers, their published pricing is a bit misleading. You're not getting hosting for $2.96/mo unless you pay $71 for two years of service. Renewals are generally at a higher rate, although a salesperson we spoke to advised you ask for a "loyalty discount."

A) To sign up for all the services you are using for your business, which email do you use? Let’s say the email adress you publish on your business site for your customers is hello@yourbusiness.com … do you also use this email adress to sign up for mailchimp, paypal, facebook ect..?? or do you use a special one for this stuff, something like adminXY@yourbusiness.com?
When it comes to server operating systems, Linux is typically the default option. Still, some services offer a choice of Linux or Windows hosting. If you have specific server-side applications that require Windows, such as SQL Server or a custom application written in .NET, then you need to make sure your web host has Windows hosting. But don't let the idea of a Linux host intimidate you. Nowadays, most web hosts offer a graphical interface or a control panel to simplify server administration and website management. Instead of typing at the command line, you'll click easily identifiable icons.
The web hosting provider got bonus points for its policy of performing regular daily backups, even on the lowest-priced shared hosting accounts. Be aware, though, that the promotional price on the low-cost shared hosting does go up after the promotional period. That said, Bluehost offers 24/7 phone support, a 30-day money-back guarantee, and SSH access for certain plan options.
Many of us own more than one domain, sometimes more than 2 or 3 domains. If you choose hosting provider which allows adding multiple domains then you can accommodate these extra domains. Hence make a domain capacity check before you purchase. Generally, hosting companies allow at least 25 add-on domains* to one account but some web host allows only one domain. So be sure about this before going for purchase.

Thanks for this post Carrie. I’ve been trying to figure out how to use the email that “comes with” the hosting plan, without using the terrible webmail platforms. I don’t have the correct language, as I haven’t been really keeping up with the internet world for about 10 years now. I’m glad I know it’s a bad idea now. We have the legacy GSuite and I’m wondering if it’s worth it to upgrade, cause we need more space. So I was thinking am I double paying by not using my hosting? Glad to hear it’s a good idea to keep email and hosting separate.
In order to publish your website online, your business website requires a web hosting service. However, a web host gives business owners more than just web hosting services! For example, web hosting firms typically employ in-house technicians to make sure their clients' websites are up and running 24/7. Plus, when website owners are in need of help or troubleshooting (e.g. script debutting, email not able to send/receive, domain name renewal, and more), the web host's in-house support are the go-to people. A professional web hosting service ensures a hassle-free experience for business owners, so they can efficiently focus their time and effort on their businesses.

For most users, Web Hosting meets their needs with ample storage, bandwidth, email addresses and with no system administration skills required. VPS Hosting is a good option for more advanced users who are tech-savvy and want greater control and flexibility of their hosting environment. Like having your own dedicated server, VPS allows you to install applications and gain direct access to the underlying operating system, but at a fraction of the price of dedicated hosting. Another answer is to have a dedicated server or virtual private server with a dedicated IP address or two. But even there, be careful. The last time I went that route the IP address the vendor assigned us had been used by a spammer and I had a few days of jumping through hoops to get us de-blacklisted. You may want to look up the IP address at mxtoolbox before you go live!
