The 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee applies to new orders for Web Hosting and to existing customers who upgrade to Web Hosting from Domain only or standalone Business Mail accounts. Subject to the following limitations, you will receive a refund from of your Web Hosting fee (other than the domain registration charge), including any setup fees actually assessed, if you are not completely satisfied. Included in your Web Hosting fee may be a required yearly domain registration charge. Domain registration is arranged on your behalf with a third party following placement of your order and cannot be canceled by that third party (your domain can, however, be transferred to a new provider after 60 days). The associated domain registration charge is nonrefundable - even if you transfer to a new provider after 60 days. If the total Web Hosting fee paid by you is less than the non-refundable domain registration charge paid on your behalf, you will not be eligible for a refund under the 30-Day Satisfaction Guarantee. The Satisfaction Guarantee period starts on the date your initial order is placed. Claims for a refund of Web Hosting fees must be made within 30 calendar days of your initial order. All refund requests must be made by calling 1-866-781-9246 and must be specifically requested at time of cancellation. Refunds will be made only to the name, address, and credit card account on file. Refund does not apply to any add-on services, such as additional bandwidth, additional email addresses, or Private Domain Registration. See the Terms of Service for additional terms and conditions, available by clicking the link at the bottom of every page on our website.

Nice post, since I’m starting up my second business and just purchased a couple of Domains. I’m thinking of going with G-Suite for email, since I purchased the Domains through Google; but I do want to have a different Web Hosting so that I can play with HTML/CSS again (yeah, I’m a tech nerd/geek) and Blogger is a HORRIBLE web site option (plus after reading your post, I think I want to not have my website on Google, even if Google is really good; but them I wonder if behind the scenes these “Web Hosting” services aren’t just buying a huge blocks of Google Cloud Server/Microsoft Cloud Server/Amazon Cloud Server and repackaging it as their own – so it makes me want to stick with the big guys).

The company's entry-point pricing is extremely low, and while this will buy you up to three years of very low-cost hosting, do be aware that its post-promotion price will increase substantially, putting its subsequent year pricing more in line with the rest of its competitors. That said, we liked its 24/7 phone customer support, SSD support on some plans, and 30-day money-back guarantee.
That’s a good solution for when you only need one or two private email boxes, but if you are a small company and need 10 or more, it gets rather expensive. As I posted above, we’ve been running our own mail servers on Linode. But that might be beyond the ability of many people although once you get it installed it seems to run fine with little or no attention needed.
Also known as a Virtual Private Server (VPS), divides server resources into virtual servers, where resources can be allocated in a way that does not directly reflect the underlying hardware. VPS will often be allocated resources based on a one server to many VPSs relationship, however virtualisation may be done for a number of reasons, including the ability to move a VPS container between servers. The users may have root access to their own virtual space. Customers are sometimes responsible for patching and maintaining the server (unmanaged server) or the VPS provider may provide server admin tasks for the customer (managed server).
GoDaddy’s $1-hosting plans are an absolute steal in affordable email hosting. You may already know them as the world’s top domain name registrar, and they’re known throughout the industry for their domain, email, and shared hosting plans. With award-winning customer support, unlimited email accounts, and simple setup options, GoDaddy is the leader in cheap email hosting.

Don’t settle for ordinary email hosting. At A2 Hosting, your account comes packed with all of your favorite email tools.Use POP3 or IMAP to send and receive email in your favorite email client. Prefer to use webmail? Horde and RoundCube both come pre-installed. Your account also includes Mailman in case you have a opt-in mailing list you want to contact.
Elapsed time from the start if the saga – 3 weeks of limited email functionality, 3 weeks of using my gmail account to get around my own server’s issues. I don’t like giving out my gmail account name. (As a hint, I keep it for things like this- when your server is down or blocked it helps to have an unrelated account. Think of it as your fire escape. AND it’s free.)
The cloud certainly makes delivering email to your users easier but, for the vast majority of organizations, there's still going to be some setup required beyond simply activating the service. At a minimum, a domain must be purchased and configured to point to the new email host. The service provider can make this process very simple or they can make quite hard; this is something you should watch for in the provider's customer support forums as well as in our reviews. In most cases, there is a validation phase that will require some technical familiarity, though a few providers go so far as to walk even neophyte users through it step by step. Other solid services bolster excellent support with tutorial articles and videos that also walk you through the process. The worst will leave you to figure it out on your own.
One's website is placed on the same server as many other sites, ranging from a few sites to hundreds of websites. Typically, all domains may share a common pool of server resources, such as RAM and the CPU. The features available with this type of service can be quite basic and not flexible in terms of software and updates. Resellers often sell shared web hosting and web companies often have reseller accounts to provide hosting for clients.

Many web hosting services offer a low "starting price," but require you to prepay for two or three years of service to get that price. After the promotional period, the renewal price for some web hosting services can be two, three, or even four times the initial promotional pricing. While the initial deal might be incredible, the cost of transferring your site (or paying the added fee) in a couple of years may be something to consider.
In terms of what many vendors call unlimited service, Web Hosting Pad's terms of service indicate that their definition of unlimited is what they call "incremental." Basically, as you need more capability, they want to discuss that with you, both to help you get the most out of their services, and to make sure you're using their systems without abusing them.
That said, not all web hosts offer email. WP Engine, for example, does not. In such instances, you must email accounts from a company other than your web host. GoDaddy, for instance, sells email packages starting at $3.49 per user, per month. That might sound like a hassle, and just one more thing to keep track of, but there are actually some webmasters who feel that separating your email hosting and web hosting services is smart. That way, one provider going offline won't completely bork your business.
Find out what security measures are taken by the hosting provider to secure data. If you are interested in shared hosting then the hosting provider’s policies should address it and same implies to cloud hosting as well as dedicated hosting. Also, ask how often they conduct malware/virus scans? The hosting provider you choose should have proper security processes in place (SSL certificates etc.) to protect any sensitive data.

One thing we learned in reviewing the services listed here (and many more) is that even though the packages are very similar, they are not identical. Some are more security-focused than others, offering anti-spam and anti-malware tools. Others offer a variety of email marketing tools. While most of the hosts we've reviewed have built-in e-commerce, you may want to consider using a more-robust third-party online shopping cart application like Shopify instead.
